Honors Chapel

Kaitlyn had her first Honors Chapel on October 16th. She made the A/B Honor Roll for making only A's and B's during her first nine weeks (2 A's and 1 B!)

We are so very proud of her accomplishments and it is a great feeling to see her reaching her full potential this year! I really do credit the change of schools to her performing so much better in school this year. First Baptist School has truly been a blessing. I can now say that Kaitlyn, at 6 years old, knows more about the Bible than I do and she is one smart cookie. She excels in math (something her mommy is not known for), and she looks forward to going to school everyday.

Our New Home!

The Speakers have a new House!

Today we closed on our first home of our own! We are sooo excited and cannot wait to move in!

The home was for sale from some amazing friends of mine, and I've promised them we would make happy memories in our new home. I will keep my word!!

Nighty Night World

This baby is making me sleepy!!!!!!!

So I am currently nearly 15 weeks pregnant, I'm waaaay too big to be only that far along, and I have started to fall asleep at my desk!

I am going to bed at a decent hour, eating well, making sure to stay hydrated, but still I end up incredibly tired by mid-day (and I'm pretty zonked in the mornings too!)

I'm not sure what the deal is, but the only thing I can think of is that this baby is zapping all of my energy for some miraculous growth spurt it's going through this week. I feel like I need to take a 90 minute nap at least when I get home, but I really don't have the time for that because I have another child and life just doesn't work that way.

Perhaps I'll find some divine insight online on how to sleep more soundly or how to keep energized during the day. But I know one thing for sure; this is definitely being mentioned to my Dr. on the 14th!!!
